Scrap FX reveal using 13@rts

Hello dear friends

I hope you have all been well and having fun creating.

I'm quickly popping in for a mid-month post  to share 2 of the projects for my Scrap reveal yesterday. If you like what you see, pop over to the blog by following this link http://www.scrapfx.com.au/blog/?p=24094 for step by step guidelines on how I created them.

So this month I have been really inspired by the main challenge at 13@rts. The challenge is to create your own background. If you know my work, you'd know I absolutely love using plain watercolor paper and create my own backgrounds, so it really was the perfect challenge for me.

For the ATC's I covered  an entire scrap piece of  paper using the 13@rts Pastel and Chalk spray's.

I then added some bling texture paste and stamped it with black Archival ink.

In the case of the layout, I used a paint brush to add splotches of pastel spray to the right side of my paper, drying in between layers.

In this background I used a fine script stamp and white molding paste with a gorgeous 13@rts stencil.

As in many of my creations, I could not do without tulle and flowers and journaling strips, so they got added as well.

Well that's all from me today.

I hope you enjoyed it. Please don't forget to leave us some comment when you pop over to Scrap FX. We would love to hear what you think.

Till next time

Kraft Plus July Challenge

Hello lovelies

Happy July first. It's Territory day here in the top end and everyone in town is watching, buying and letting of fireworks. We are in for a wild night, let me tell you.

It's also time to share some beautiful new challenge and this time I would like to share my take on the Kraft Plus Challenge.

I was inspired by this challenge from the word go. I wanted roses lots of them.

I started off adding texture paste to my layout. Once this was dry I added bits of the gorgeous dry root by 13@rts to frame my photo.

I had no idea which photo to use, all I knew was that I want a photo of us.  After much consideration, a couple of tries as well as inspiration from my fellow by team mates I found this old wedding photo of me and my hubby. It was ideal for the purpose and suited a very tricky colour combo at least for me. 😉

To play along we need you to create a Kraft project using roses in 3 different ways.

I used a stencil, die cut flowers, a Funky Flair Studio flair, paper flowers and die-cut roses.

If you want to join in follow the link below. The DT has some awesome creatiins to share so make sure you pop by.

I hope you had fun reading this and will join us this month. Come on and have fun, even if you are not the flower kinda girl... It has been about 4 years since I declared that I dont know, can't and don't have photos for flowers... Uhmm yeah that was me and see now...I hardly do anything without them. Never say never I tell you.

Till next minth, have fun.

More than Words Challenge July

Hello everyone

Welcome back to a whole new month filled with new challenges to play along with. We are in the second half of the year and for those with kids, it's June/July holidays.

Suited to this time of year, our challenge at More than Words are all about Exploring and Arrows.

Here's my take on it:

I found some mojo sitting on a yacht my hubby was interested to buy. We have been speaking of sailing the world sice we met and maybe one day this dream will come true. It was not this day but sitting there in the docks reminded me of the dream to explore new places and going where  I have never been before. I dream of discovering hidden treasures and less traveled roads. These treasures are not the kind you may think of. It includes no gold or gems but the people, frienships and new experiences we hope to come across on our way. I have traveled a fair bit yet those are amongst the things that inspire me to do it over and over again.

To play along we need you to create a layout or canvas thats inspired by the word Explore. Our creative challenge for this task is to use arrows so come and join us. Here's the link gor the blog and more inspiration by my fellow DT members.

I can't wait to see what you create so have fun.
