More Than Words Main Challenge February

Hello there everyone

I'm back again today sharing another fabulous challenge for this month. Yes it is More than Words Main Challenge for February.

This month the challenge is to use the word together as inspiration and use a & somewhere in your layout, canvas or art journal.

February is the month of love and holds some very special memories for me.
Yes I am one of those people who got married on Valentines Day. Not because it was Valentines but because it fell on the 14th and was exactly a year after our engagement. It just happened to be Valentines Day as well.

I was inspired by the &, my memories of this day and our life together. 13 Years this year and I still love him to bits, maybe even more than all those years ago.

Here is what I have done:

I used some modeling paste though a stencil and lightly splattered on faded yellow watercolor paint. Next randomly stamped a script background on top. I also glued on some twine to add texture.

Due to being on holidays at the time I had some wood veneers custom cut for my layout.

Last but not least I added embellishment clusters my veneer title and some journaling strips to add to my story and open a window to my heart.

I  hope you enjoyed these tips on how I created it and that you will play along with us this time.

Please find this link for more inspiration by my fellow design team members and more details on how to play along:

I can't wait to see what you come up with so come and get out your paper scissors and ink and get messy.

Till next time have fun playing.

Kraft+ February 2017

Hello my friends

It's the 1st of February 2017. My oh my, how quick has January gone by?  Hope you are just as excited as me, because the first always means new challenges and more opportunities to create and express yourself.

This month we are going coastal at K+. This fabulous new challenge also includes a sketch challenge. Just because the sketch is in 12x12 format does not mean you have to create a layout either. You can interpret it in any way you like and create whatever your heart desire. They only rules are that it has to be on kraft paper and incorporate the challenge elements. You can do a layout, cards, OTP, art journal, it does not matter. In fact, we would love to see what you come up with.

I decided to make three ATC's, also called Artist Trading Cards. They are really small, measuring only 2.5 x 3 " each. Yet so much fun and quick to put together.

Come and check out more inspiration from the rest of the DT and be sure to play along with us this time.

Till next time, have fun.

Hello there everyone

It is mini challenge tme at Mrore than Words Challenge and we would love for you to play along.

I made this tag using Maja Designs patterned paper, Heartfelt Creations die-cut, Flutterby Designs journaling strips and some flowers.

The Challenge is to create a card or tag using the word One. So here is my tip: I did not have any words swith the word one so i simply cut the d from the word done and added a complimentary word to finish my strip.

Please come and play along with us and show us what you create.

#52cafecards January Challenge Week 1

Hello dear friends

I'm back on the blog today sharing a small little project I created just for fun. Yes it's been a while since I entered challenges but it is definitely something that I would like to do more this year.

Marta Lapkowska created a Facebook page called Maremi's Creative Cafe. She invites all kinds of crafters to come and share their work and be part of this wonderful, careing community where people can inspire and encourage each other and be free to express their art.

As part of this she started a new challenge where you need to use playing cards to create 52 cards in 2017, each with it's own theme. Week 1 started off with the theme "Art".

This is my take on it but make sure you pop in and play along.

Hope you join in too.

Kraft Plus January 2017

Hello dear friends

I'm back on the blog today sharing my take on the January challenge at Kraft +.

This month's challenge is to create a layout, card art journal or off the page project featuring a bicycle and as always to use kraft paper. You can interpret it in any way you wish to so come and play along. 12/on-your-bike-january-challenge.html?m=1

I was inspired by the images in the moodboard and vintage bicycles. This photo of my cousin and his gorgeous wife was perfect as bike rides gives us the opportunity to explore the beautiful things in life rather than rushing about. At the same time it symbolizes the journey together and all the ups and downs along the road. What inspires you, how do you interpret this challenge? I can't wait to see so come and join us.

Till next time enjoy creating

I used some beautiful chipboard pieces, Alcohol Ink, Prima Marketing Finnabair Acrylic paint and Colour Blast goodies to create this.

Please stop by on the blog for a full tutorial on how I created this.

I'll be back soon sharing more layouts for January challenges so please stay tuned and pop in again. Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Hello there dear friends

Wow it's January and the new year started with a bang. Hope you all had fun celebrating.

Speaking of celebrations I kicked off the year with my first share  for More than Words. Have I mentioned how thrilled I still am to have the opportunity to be joining these amazingly talented group of girls?
We are also celebrating  our first bithday at More than Words. This month the challenge word is Celebrate and the Creative challenge is Bling.

I was inspired by these photos of my cousin in law and her bridesmaids celebrating her wedding day.  I incorporated bling by die cutting the word celebrate 3 times out of gold foil paper and used it to matt my photos.  Gold flowers and sequins were added to mimic the festivities and cature the magic of this wonderful day.

I do hope you will join us this time to play along with us and look forward to seeing your creations. As always there are some fabulous  prises up for grabs so make sure you come and check it out.

Wishing you all the best for the new year.

CSI Case File 220

Hello hello dear friends

It is seriously crazy and things are just soo busy. It seems like the days all blurr into a week and before you know it,  it will be Christmas. Yay for some down time and spending a little bit of time chilling with friends and family.

CSI has a brand new challenge and I am so happy to share my take on it with you.

At first I had no idea where to start. Food accents did not spark any photo ideas so I looked at the journaling prompts. Yes one of them takes you to a website with so many ideas and prompts that you will soon realize this layout can be of any theme under the sun.

I  just started to add some watercolor paint in the required colours and and light stamping in grey Archival ink. This photo was perfect for the love promt I saw on the links page. I  fussy cut some flowers from the beautiful Magnolia Papers from Courture Creations and added some foam tape for dimention. Next I added metal leaves, tulle,  Prima Art Stones, Scrap FX chipboard, ribbon and some journaling to suit. Voila all was done.

So here is the challenge. Please inbox me if you have any questions I am always happy to help.

Now please join us this time round and play along. Looking forward seeing your creations.

Till next time have fun playing xxx
